Frequently asked questions

Let’s clear things up.

The essentials of distribution, syndication, pricing and getting started.

How do I get started?

Create a free account, then choose distribution or syndication in your dashboard. Distribution takes you to PRNow for white-label publishing and API setup. Syndication takes you to Press Release Database to explore the latest news and available access options.

Is Press Release API free?

Creating an account is free. Distribution API access has no separate platform fee: you pay when a press release is published, or when you choose to fund your publishing account. The syndication offer includes 1,000 results each month, then $0.10 per additional 1,000 results.

When am I charged for distribution?

Publication is the billable event, not creating a draft or making an API request. You may also purchase credits by funding your provider account in advance. Available packages, credit deductions and refund terms are shown by the publishing provider before you order.

Can I use my own brand?

Yes. The distribution workflow is built for resellers and SEO agencies, with white-label reports and client-facing publishing options. Configure your branding with the provider before you start sharing reports.

Can I connect my existing API providers?

Yes, your distribution workflow can include your own API providers. Their credentials, supported operations and commercial terms remain separate. Contact us to discuss the providers you want to connect.

Which filters can publishers use?

Filter by niche, keyword, company type, language, source provider and company or brand, among other criteria. Provider examples include GlobeNewswire, ACCESS Newswire, PR Newswire and Newsfile; brand examples include OpenAI, Adobe, Google, Tesla and Meta. Availability depends on the connected source.

What counts as a result?

A result is one press release returned in a response, rather than one API request. A request returning 20 releases counts as 20 results. The pricing calculator estimates extra usage in blocks of 1,000; confirm metering and billing details before enabling paid access.

Will syndication improve my SEO?

A relevant feed can make a website more useful, but republishing press releases does not guarantee traffic, indexing or higher rankings. Use clear attribution, check content rights, and add original reporting or context where it helps your audience.

Do I need to be a developer?

A developer is helpful for a custom API integration. You can start by exploring the partner dashboards, reviewing documentation, and choosing a narrow use case before building an automated workflow.

Do you offer volume discounts and support?

Yes. Distribution supports volume pricing, and the service is designed around 24/7 support. Contact us with your expected release volume, providers and integration needs to discuss the right setup.
