This policy explains how the Press Release API website handles information in its account and contact workflows. Contact us through the privacy inquiry option with questions or requests.
Information you provide
When you create an account, we store your name, email address, a salted password hash, account creation date and chosen service. We do not store your password in readable form. When you send a contact request, we store your name, email address, selected topic, message, timestamp and reference number.
How we use it
We use account information to authenticate you, preserve your distribution or syndication selection and provide your workspace. Contact information is used to handle your inquiry and maintain its record. Request information such as your IP address may be processed temporarily to limit abusive form submissions. Hosting infrastructure may maintain technical access logs.
Essential cookies
The website uses an HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in and a form security cookie to protect submissions. Sessions expire after seven days and are invalidated when you log out. This implementation does not include advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Site fonts and images are served locally.
Partner websites
Choosing a service opens a link to PRNow or Press Release Database. Your account name, email and password are not automatically sent with that link. If you register or make a purchase on another website, its privacy policy applies. External article references also take you to independently operated websites.
Storage and retention
Account and contact records are stored in the website’s database. Account details remain while the account is active, and contact records remain until the inquiry is resolved and records are no longer needed. Expired session records are periodically removed. The operator may need to retain limited information to resolve disputes, protect security or meet applicable obligations.
Your choices
You can ask to access, correct or delete information associated with your account by using the contact form and selecting “Privacy.” Include only what is needed to identify the request; never send your password. Identity verification may be required before records are disclosed or changed. Your specific rights depend on applicable law.
Security
Passwords are protected with salted hashing, authentication uses server-side sessions, and forms include request-forgery protections. No system can promise absolute security. Use a unique password and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Policy updates
If the website introduces analytics, new data recipients or different account features, this policy should be updated to describe those changes. The revision date above identifies the current version.
